Invoices

In this article, you'll learn how to generate invoices using the Trucker Path command.

 

Step 1: Start by navigating to the Loads tab. Click on Dispatch, then Loads.

Step 2: Locate your completed load and proceed to the Financial tab.

Here, you'll see the rate for the load and any funds issued to the driver for his settlement.

 

Step 3: Add line items for the completed load if needed and these items will be added to the invoice.

Step 4: When everything looks good on your end, click on Create Invoice.

This will take you to the invoice creation page.

 

Step 5: Select the appropriate customer and edit their details. Adjust the invoice number, the invoice date, and the terms for the invoice.

You're also able to add any invoice notes if needed.

 

Step 6: Add a factoring company by clicking the plus button.

You can either add a new factoring company or select a previously created one.

 

Step 7: Below that You'll see a list of all completed loads for the selected customer. View the details for each load or add additional line items as needed.

Select the load to add it to the invoice preview on the right-hand side.

 

Step 8: Once ready, click on Send Invoice or Save as Draft if you're not ready to send it yet.

After clicking Send Invoice, a subject with the invoice number and the company name will be automatically generated, along with a pre-generated message for the company.

 

Step 9: Upload documents from your local computer or from any loads that are attached to that specific load.

These documents will be added to the email.

 

Step 10: Click Send Invoice to send the email directly to the customer from fleets@truckerpath.com.

You can view all invoices from the Invoice tab under Accounting. Here, you'll see the current status of the invoice, who created it, when it was created, days since it was last sent, and the actual payment date for that invoice.

 

Step 11: Adjust the status as needed or mark it as paid once you've received funds from the customer.

You can also choose to email this invoice again to the customer, which will generate the same page, or download it as a PDF if needed.

 

From this page, you can also select Export to QuickBooks if you use QuickBooks as your main source for sending invoices to your customers.
